The Beauty of Battlesbridge

When I first moved to Essex, I quickly discovered a fantastic little spot right in the middle of the county, called Battlesbridge. The main reason I discovered it, initially, was because of a fab little pub there. But I soon discovered there was more to Battlesbridge than just that.

Battlesbridge is a treasure trove of antique shops, craft shops and other lovely finds. It’s the sort of place you can wander around on a Sunday afternoon a not realise where the hours have gone. And I defy you to visit and not purchase even one small thing – it’s next to impossible, I guarantee it!

Last year, on a bit of a whim, my friend and fellow photographer, Chloe and I popped down to Battlesbridge for the afternoon for some picture taking fun…

It always makes a pleasant change to go out with my camera and no agenda, no goals or intentions but just to shoot the things that look interesting. As always, my personal work is available to purchase from my print store and I will be adding more work (like some of the above images!) very soon!
