Lucy’s Happy Holistic Pet Care is the beloved business of my good friend, Lucy. Her love of animals and alternative healing combined into this amazing little space and her fabulous business was born! Of course, Lucy needed a website and she asked me to write the copy for her site in order to clearly share her message and passion for what she had to offer her clients. And, of course, I jumped at the chance.
Lucy’s brief was to produce all her website content for her new animal services business. Her specialities are dog walking, pet sitting and holistic pet care using reiki as well as providing bereavement therapy services as needed.
Lucy wanted to convey her passion for animals through the words on her site, as well as through her chosen photographs and so it was this brief that was at the forefront of my mind as I produced copy for her home page, about me page and subsequent service pages.
After spending some time asking questions, making notes and chatting with Lucy, I was able to sit and draft some ideas and produce set pieces of copy for her to review. With a few tweaks, we were there! I then spent a bit of time transferring the copy to her website, as she requested.
“That’s where I come in. My dog walking services are aimed at taking your four-pawed family member out so that they get plenty of exercise when you aren’t able to. I can also incorporate feeding and plenty of fuss and play into their session as well, if this is needed (the fuss and play will happen anyway!). If you’re out for the day, I even send doggy updates to let you know how they’re doing.”
It was an absolute pleasure to be able to work with Lucy. She knew exactly what she wanted from the outset and was clear in her thoughts and ideas. It just became a case of me putting all those ideas together and forming some legible sentences and paragraphs that would make her website the thoughtful, caring and loving space she wanted it to be!
