Love Shoot at Belhus Woods Country Park

“They say we’re too young to love but maybe they’re too old to remember.”

I can’t believe it’s been almost a year already since I met up with the super lovely Annie and Andrew for a Love Shoot at Belhus Woods Country Park back in November.

Annie got in touch with me while I was on a road trip in the USA. She wanted to plan a surprise shoot, for her boyfriend, as a birthday present. I loved the idea and so we made plans to meet up at Belhus Woods as Annie wanted something that combined land and water and, after searching for areas that were roughly halfway between our two places, Belhus Woods is where we alighted!

Being early in November, it wasn’t that long after the clocks had gone back and so sunset was at a super early 4pm! This gave us the perfect excuse for an earlier meet up with the promise of going to find food and warmth afterwards. We both knew it was going to be a cold one! On the day of the shoot, Andrew still had no clue what was going on. Andrew and Stuart were work colleagues previously so I had decided to bring Stu along with me as I knew he’d love a catch up with Andrew after the shoot was over. As we pulled into the car park, the look on Andrew’s face said it all when he clocked Stu and started to figure out something was going on. 🙂 I do love a perfectly executed surprise!

And so, into the woods we went! I’d never been to Belhus Woods before but it really is a very pretty spot. It’s hard to believe it’s so close to a major motorway and a short drive out of London!

Setting these two up for shots was the easiest thing in the world. They are a couple clearly very much in love and they are so sweet with each other. But don’t take my word for it, you can see for yourself…

Since the photo shoot a lot has been going on with these two… they’ve since got engaged! And Annie is now a qualified Paramedic, to boot! Congratulations you guys, you couldn’t ask for a nicer couple and I can’t wait to hear about your wedding plans when you eventually get round to starting your planning!! 🙂

Annie said of the shoot afterwards:

Thank you for an amazing day and amazing shoot. It was everything I had hoped it would be and we had such a brilliant time! Like nothing we’ve done before! Loved every second!

Thank you so much, Annie and Andrew, for being totally amazing sports and going with my silly suggestions (“Stand there and smooch while I get Stu to throw leaves at you!”)!!

If you’d like an autumnal Love Shoot of your own, now is the time to book!
