A Rotherhithe Engagement Session | Michelle + Mrinal
Michelle and Mrinal are such a cool couple.
They met online and, after having their first date at Leeds Castle the rest, as they say, is history. Next month they are having a double whammy of a wedding, celebrating their first ceremony here in the UK before heading off to India for the second part of their celebrations! I’m only sorry I won’t be heading to India with them!
When we first started talking about an engagement session, Michelle suggested heading in to London for the day. The two of them have spent much of their relationship in the city and know it well. I was happy to go along with whatever was suggested as I love any excuse to get up to London anyway so Michelle decided on Rotherhithe describing it as “oldy-worldy, lots of cobbled streets but off the tourist track so should be nice and quiet”. She wasn’t wrong. Ok, it was early February and blowing an icy gale but hey, not a lot stops me getting out with my camera! Rotherhithe really is a quaint little place, lots of lovely old buildings, like this pub, The Mayflower, where we met up, on the banks of the Thames (literally – we sat out back and the water was actually lapping at the wall beneath us!). After a cup of tea, we braced ourselves for the cold and went for a wander around and got some photographs.
These two are just so photogenic! I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next month!
