If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably got a list a mile long of all those little “niggly” copy jobs you know you need to finish and fix but you just haven’t got the time (or inclination) to work on them. You love to write but it feels like your words just aren’t quite hitting the mark, and you’ve got that “I wish my words were THAT good” feeling when you look at your competitors’ websites. Or maybe you feel like your words are just a bit meh but you have no idea how to sparkle them up with a little bit of your real personality (I know you’ve got one… you wouldn’t be here otherwise!).

Copy Intensive

A done-with-you session where your copy will be poked and probed by a writing professional (aka word nerd) who’ll whip the words and message into shape and give you clear guidance on what else needs to be done to get it right.

This is about as action-taking as you can get when it comes to writing your copy… If John McClane had a pen in that sweaty, grimy muscle shirt of his… or if Keanu swapped his speeding bus for a thesaurus (now there’s a thought!)…

Copy Intensives are all about getting shit done, with a little help from yours truly, of course!

Here’s how it works

Step One

Fill out my contact form and let me know what you want to get done. I’ll send over my scheduler so you can book a chat and we can clarify exactly what you need.

Step Two

I’ll send over a proposal for you to make your selection and get booked in. Then I’ll send you your Discovery Questionnaire and a link for you to book your time slot.

Step Three

On the day of your session, I’ll be ready with the copy you want us to work on in a Google Doc and we’ll hop on Zoom and go through it all together. The meeting will be recorded and I’ll be taking a bunch of notes so you can just focus on the conversation.

Step Four

After the session, I’ll write up my notes and formulate an action plan of tasks for you to work through. I’ll send those over with a copy of the recording which you can then access for the next 3 months.

Step Five

Depending on what needs to be done, we’ll chat about how long you need to get the work done, then I’ll be in touch to book your follow-up session.

Step Six

We’ll hop on another Zoom call (not recorded this time!) to review everything you’ve done and make any final tweaks to get those words shining. Think fixing syntax and typo errors and making sure it all reads beautifully.

And that’s it! I’ll leave you with your finished words so you can finally get them up and where they need to be.

Is one or two hours going to be enough to cover everything I need?

I’ll always do the most I possibly can in the time you’ve booked but, once the time is up, the time is up. You can always book additional copy intensives though, for anything we don’t get done.

I have so many things to work on, how will I know what to choose?

Ahhh, the eternal growing list and that feeling of overwhelm. I know it well! To give you some idea of my capabilities, in an hour we could probably manage two short website pages (or one longer one), or perhaps a 3-5 email sequence. In two hours, your base website pages (Home, About and Services splash pages) or a short to mid-length sales page and some emails. But it does depend on how much existing copy you have and the quality of that copy.

So, when you decide what to choose, I would say pick the thing that’s going to progress your business the sooner you get it up and running. We can work on the other stuff later. Still not sure? Hop on a consult with me and I’ll be happy to make my recommendations.

As much as I’d love to (and I do love your enthusiasm!), probably not. My calendar is usually booked at least a month in advance with larger projects and I tend to plan out my weeks around 2 weeks ahead.
