Accidental photographer
Creating images with curiosity, a flicker of light, a passing shadow and moments that feel too human to ignore.
I came to photography by way of a failed experiment with acrylics and canvas, and a roll of film meant for a camping trip that I somehow used up entirely in a graveyard on the way there.
The images I wanted to create were always in my head. Photography just became the medium that finally matched them.
In the early days, armed with a basic point-and-shoot, my subjects rarely strayed beyond walls, flowers and trees. People came later—by accident, really—but that’s a story for another time.
Now, as a brand and portrait photographer by day, I still find myself reaching for the camera on my days off and whenever I travel. Those personal moments behind the lens are where my creative spark lives. I still love a good wall, flower or tree, but I’m equally drawn to fleeting scenes filled with light, motion and human energy.
These days, I chase movement, light and colour—using my camera as a way to notice things I might have otherwise missed. Every image is the result of quiet observation: sometimes hours of study, sometimes a five-minute detour on a morning walk.
I’m based in Agassiz, BC, Canada, and I photograph the moments and details that catch my eye in travel, nature and street life—the ones that make me and (I hope) you pause, too.
The first collection
This first collection of images captures a tiny glimpse of everywhere I’ve stood still long enough to really see—from Berlin’s gritty beauty to Malta’s warm nostalgia, New York’s rush to BC’s wild calm. They’re micro-stories of belonging and curiosity, of chasing light and letting life walk right into the frame. No perfect moments. Just real ones—seen through my lens, caught mid-breath and printed for your enjoyment.
