BC HEADSHOTS

Headshots, but make ’em fun

For personal brands, creatives and businesses ready to stop cringing at their profile photo.

Retro typewriter with bright turquoise paper loaded, sitting against a pastel pink background—a bold, nostalgic nod to old-school writing with a pop of colour and creative flair.
Young woman in a mustard dress gently inspecting lush green houseplants, surrounded by snake plants and tropical foliage—serene, earthy vibes with just a hint of ‘plant whisperer’ energy.

Professional doesn’t have to mean zero personality

In fact, it has nothing to do with how you dress, how you stand, pose, or even how you look. If all you see is an awkward human staring back at you from the head-tilted, forced-smile, “is this my good side?” photo currently gracing your LinkedIn page…

I want you to know there’s another way.

👉🏻 Photos that feel like you, with purpose and absolute honesty

👉🏻 A picture that makes you want to update every damn profile you own

👉🏻 The confidence to show up unapologetically wherever your name appears

👉🏻 Proof that you can be be professional and full of personality at the same time

Let me guess—your last “headshot” was a cropped photo from a friend’s wedding

I’m just gonna say it: you’re not the problem.

You’ve been led to believe that “professional” means corporate. Stiff posture. Arms crossed. A polished look completely disconnected from the human underneath.

I’m betting a photographer told you to smile more. Angle your chin. Be less you and more “businesslike”. You’ve been sold this idea that the only way to look legit is to look like everyone else.

So you keep using that photo you hate. Or no photo at all.

You stall on updating your website, on showing your face, on putting yourself out there. Because every option you’ve seen so far just feels off.

No wonder this visibility stuff feels hard!

Sparkly pink unicorn figurine with a white mane and golden horn, surrounded by white and gold glitter balls on a pastel pink background—pure, unapologetic magic in plastic form.

“If you’re as uncomfortable with photos as I am, Sarah Wayte Creative is the photographer you NEED.

Thanks for bringing out a little more of “me” from underneath the crippling anxiety and awkwardness, Sarah. ♥️”

Anyone can take a photograph, but not everyone sees who you really are

Beneath the perfectly styled hair, the nervous smile and that super cute outfit is a human being doing amazing things.

That’s who I aim to capture.

The real you. Slightly scrappy. Deeply brilliant. Fully human.

I know how weird it feels to be in front of the camera (why do you think I became a photographer in the first place?!).

If you’re scared of the lens, hate every photo you’ve ever had taken or have ever muttered ‘I’m just not photogenic’, you’re exactly who I want in front of mine.

Because I know how to make that weirdness melt away.

We’ll laugh, we’ll chat and we’ll get the shot.

And you’ll walk away with photos that make you feel great and so unbelievably seen.

Photos you can't wait to use

On your About page, LinkedIn, your speaker bios, podcast features, email signatures and so much more.

A fresh perspective on how you show up

One that reminds you you’re allowed to be visible without pretending to be someone you’re not.

And maybe, just maybe, a little spark of pride

When you look at your gorgeous face on screen 😉

OF CLIENTS WHO ASKED FOR THE ZIG-A-ZIG AAAH!

I mean, while I LOVE the professional and put together photos, I ADORE that you included the “goofy” ones, too. They’re my personality through and through. They’re even good enough to use on my dating profile!

Zig A Zig Yes or Zig A Zig Naah?

This is for you if:

You’re a personal brand, creative or business owner who’s done hiding behind old photos (or no photos at all)

You want a headshot that actually looks like you—not a stiff, over-edited version of who you think you should be

You firmly believe you’re not photogenic (I’ll show you that you are)

You want a quick, stress-free shoot without all the performative faff

You’re ready to show up with confidence buuut on your own damn terms

But not if:

You’re after a full-day brand shoot with multiple locations, outfits and a whole strategy behind it (totally doable if you head this way)

You want corporate-style studio portraits with blank backdrops and folded arms (this isn’t that kind of vibe)

You’re looking for ultra-retouched, hyper-polished imagery that erases all signs of humanity

You don’t actually want to show your face anywhere yet (no pressure, come back when you’re ready)

Tell me what you want, what you really, really want (to know)

What if I hate being in front of the camera?

Great! You’re my favourite kind of person to work with. I specialise in putting camera-shy humans at ease. We’ll keep it relaxed, we’ll chat, we’ll laugh and I’ll guide you through every shot. No awkward posing or weird “look over your shoulder” moments, pinky swear.

How many photos will I get?

Your session includes 3 professionally edited images that you’ll choose from a proofing gallery. Want more? You’ll have the option to purchase extras after the shoot (because sometimes three headshots just aren’t enough!).

What should I wear?

You’ll get a prep guide with tips on what to wear, how to prep and how to feel like your best self without overthinking it. TL;DR? Pick something that feels like you on a great day.

Can I have my session somewhere specific?

As long as it’s within 30 minutes of Chilliwack, absolutely! If it’s further afield, a small mileage fee applies but let’s chat and figure out what works best.

What’s your rescheduling policy?

Life happens. You can reschedule once with at least 48 hours’ notice. If something comes up last minute, drop me a line and we’ll see what’s possible.

Do you retouch the photos?

I do basic edits like colour, lighting and skin tone, but nothing that turns you into a wax figure. My goal is to make sure your photo feels like you, not a filtered version of you.

Whimsical pastel pink typewriter with a blank sheet of paper floating up, tethered to a cluster of pink balloons against a light blue background—like your words just got carried away in a daydream.
Flat lay of a glam party setup with two glasses of champagne, disco balls, glittery party hats, and pink high heels on a pink background—maximum sparkle, minimal subtlety.

It’s time to show up like you mean it

Because your future clients deserve to see the real you.
